Balvin has been a leader in the fashion-music world, collaborating with Guess, Air Jordan, G-Shock, and GEF in the past.
The singer takes the stage in front of a replica of the first car he owned in his native Colombia.
“It’s the nostalgia I had of when I was in the studio for the first time. Sometimes you get so caught up in the business that you start just thinking about the business and not the music purely,” he previously told Rolling Stone. “So in this case, it was like when I was a kid.”
Balvin’s Back to the Rayo tour is his first time on the road in years after postponing his entire Jose tour back in 2022.
The Colombian singer took the stage with a group of high-energy dancers.
The musician teased his time on the road by performing at Coachella last April. “Yeah, it was beautiful, man. I’ve been surfing the different waves through these years and not trying to fit in, just learning and checking how everything goes,” he previously told Rolling Stone.
Balvin welcomed his fellow Colombian star Ryan Castro to perform their collaboration “Nivel de Perreo” during the show.
Balvin and Ryan Castro linked up for a duet in 2022, and played it live in Brooklyn Sunday.
“I think I’m at a great point of my life where I feel that I don’t have anything else to prove and just have fun. I’m so energized,” Balvin told Rolling Stone last year. “This album was made for my true fans, but also to connect with the new generations and just elevate my sound.”
Balvin and Ed Sheeran played “Shape of You” and their collaboration, “Sigue.”

Balvin and Sheeran have been longtime friends, and released their first collaborations in 2022. Their completed album, which Sheeran told Rolling Stone featured Pharrell, Shakira, and Burna Boy, has no release date just yet.
Audience members celebrated Balvin’s concert visit to New York City by holding up shoes from the reggaeton singer’s collaboration with Air Jordan.
Balvin paused his show to sign a fan’s Air Jordan 1 Retro High J Balvin.
“I went through a dark moment in my career and I was like, ‘I need a break,'” Balvin told told Rolling Stone in 2024. “That helped me to be more mature enjoy a new season of my life, and be more aware and more grateful than I used to be.”
“It’s just a new season of J Balvin where I just want to keep elevating my sound and keep reaching different audiences,” he said

“I think that this is the most happy moment in my life. I can’t deny that it was such a risk for me to take time off because this is a business where everything goes so fast,” he told Rolling Stone last year
